The leader of the political party “popular front” Arseniy Yatsenyuk is not going to run for President of Ukraine in 2019. The party will prepare for participation in the parliamentary elections.

About this Yatsenyuk said during a party Congress.

Yatsenyuk said he supports the policy of the current President of Petro Poroshenko and noted that the main task of the future Ukrainian leader to further strengthen the defense and the resumption of territorial integrity and EU membership and NATO membership.

“The main task is to expel the Russian occupiers of Ukrainian lands, to return Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea”, – said Yatsenyuk.

According to the politician, he made the decision on the possible participation in the presidential election, given his previous management experience.

“The President is the moral authority, not standard, and standard. The President is a visionary who in their values and actions required to unite the people. To unite Ukraine and to make it great. That is the task of the President… And the President will also have to find the strength to reach out to those who would vote against it,” – said the politician.

According to Yatsenyuk, the majority of the candidates who have already registered to participate in the presidential election, demonstrate “not just populism, and socialist Bolshevism,” which for Ukraine at the time ended the war and victims.

“I know the party’s position on the need to participate in the elections of the President of Ukraine. I’ve been thinking about it. It’s a tough decision and this decision can not be taken from the point of view of emotions or political conjectures. Today there is sufficient height to win the presidential elections in 2019. I am a realist and will betterinvesting, in such circumstances, to make disunity and uncertainty for the national Pro-Ukrainian people who want change in the country”, – said Yatsenyuk.

He also said that the party “people’s front” to prepare for the parliamentary elections to be held this fall.

“I made the decision that we have to fight for a new Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the victory in the parliamentary elections and the formation of a new Government. This I believe,” said the leader of political force.

This party will work in cooperation with the current government.

“We are going to win in the parliamentary elections and the formation of a new government!” – summed Yatsenyuk.

As you know, in the presidential election in 2010, Ukraine took fourth place with a score of 6.96 % of the votes.

In 2014, he did not run for the presidency, and took office of Prime Minister under President Petro Poroshenko.

Earlier it was reported that party activists of the popular front supports the nomination of the leader of political force, ex-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk as a candidate for the presidential elections in Ukraine, but the decision will be made at the Congress.

Note, January 29, 2019 Petro Poroshenko said his nomination for the post of President of Ukraine on the elections of 2019.

The presidential elections scheduled for 31 March 2019.
