In a few hours in Italy on the island of Lido will open one of the oldest film reviews in the world – the Venice Film Festival. This year, the festival anniversary – it is held for the 75th time, and the importance of the date is visible even under the program, which turned out to be very interesting.

Now he is no longer just a promising newcomer, but the owner of the “Oscar”, which must be reckoned with. This time in Venice, he takes the drama “Man on the Moon” about Neil Armstrong – the first astronaut to step on the moon. In the title role – Ryan Gosling is all from the same “La Landa”, in the partners is no longer Emma Stone, and Claire Foy. The press conference of the opening film, as well as the photocall of the jury members, became the first cinema events of the festival.
In the main competition there are 21 films, out of competition – even more pictures. Except for the retrospective show of the film “Rise” by Larisa Shepitko, Russia is represented only in the parallel program “Horizons” – the film “The Man Who Surprised All” by Natalya Merkulova and Alexei Chupov with Evgeny Tsyganov in one of the roles.
