The Association “Ukrtsukor” declares that Uzbekistan has suspended imports of Ukrainian sugar in connection with the prohibition to take goods from Ukraine.
This is stated in the message NASU “Ukrtsukor”.
According to the report, now sugar and other goods imported into Uzbekistan, not unloaded and not rastamozhivatsya.
“Such a sudden stop leads to a failure to comply with the conditions of previously concluded contacts. And given the fact that the last six months the main importer of domestic sugar was precisely Uzbekistan, we can say that we lose our main market,” – commented the head of analytical Department “Ukrtsukor” Ruslan Butylo.
It is reported that the Association sent an official appeal to the Ministry of agrarian policy and food and the Ministry of economic development and trade with a request to provide explanations and to solve the situation regarding the detention of Ukrainian products imported to the territory of Uzbekistan.
Earlier it was reported that because of the closed railway stations in Ukraine the owners of grain elevators and other manufacturers in August 2018 can’t send tens of thousands of tons of products. According to the expert of the public campaign “Europetrol” V. Konovalov, in 2018 the problem with the speed of cargo handling in Ukrainian ports-they do not have time to do it. This circumstance leads to the fact that freight cars remain on the tracks, before reaching the ports.
