Ukrainian swimmer Mykhailo Romanchuk became the winner of the world championship on short water in the Chinese Hangzhou: he won the gold in the 1,500-meter freestyle, setting a record of the world Championships – 14 minutes 09,14 seconds.

The silver medal was Italian Gregorio Paltrinieri (14.09,87), “bronze” went to Henrik Christiansen from Norway (14.19,39).
We will remind that before this the best performance of the Ukrainian competition in Hangzhou was the semi-finals Lubomir Meleshko (16th in the 100m butterfly) and Sergei Shevtsov (16th on 50-metrovke freestyle).
