Ukraine and Japan signed a Memorandum on defense the Ministry of defense of Ukraine and Japan have signed a Memorandum of cooperation and exchanges in the field of defense.
On Friday, October 12, reported the press service of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
“The purpose of this Memorandum is to create conditions to promote bilateral cooperation and exchanges in the defense sector”, – stated in the message.
It is indicated that the document was signed during the visit of Ukrainian delegation headed by Deputy foreign Minister Vasily Bednarek and Deputy defense Minister for European integration Anatoly Petrenko in Japan on October 11-12 with the aim of “the first Ukrainian-Japanese consultations on security issues”.
“Ukraine and Japan signed the Memorandum in defence. A qualitatively new step for the development of defence and security cooperation. By the way, Ukraine is the first country of our region, with which Japan signed such a document,” wrote Bodnar in his Twitter.
We will remind, the President Petro Poroshenko ordered the head of operations of the combined forces in the Donbas as a retaliatory fire apply to all subordinate forces and means to save the life of Ukrainian soldiers.
“We have to be ready for any scenario – like the defensive and effective offensive. We must not succumb to provocations in the area of operations of the combined forces, however, allowed and ordered to use all subordinate you strength and means to return fire to save the lives of our people”, – said Poroshenko.
