On 25 September, the national Bank of Ukraine introduces into circulation a new banknote of 20 hryvnia of 2018.
About it reports a press-service of the NBU.
With this information, bill has an updated design with an improved protection system.
It is planned that the new banknotes, the national Bank will gradually replace the worn-out and damaged banknotes of 2003.
According to the Director of the Department of monetary circulation of the NBU Victor Savenko in the first place it is planned to produce and put into circulation about 5 million upgraded banknotes.
According to the regulator, in connection with the depreciation of banknotes withdrawn annually about 800 million pieces of all denominations. Almost half of them are banknotes of low denomination from 1 to 20 hryvnia.
