Today in Ukraine came into force the law on the posthumous donation

Сегодня в Украине вступил в силу закон о посмертном донорстве

In Ukraine since January 1, entered into force act No. 2427-VIII on the posthumous donation, but it is not the information system of transplant and part of the law is impossible to implement.

About it reports “112 Ukraine”.

According to the law, people may agree to post-mortem donation or to refuse it. This information can be recorded in the passport or driver’s license and must – in a Unified state information system of transplantation. In addition, you can choose “proxy”, which will tell the answer after the death of a potential donor. Or ask relatives.

If the man acted against his organs to use in transplantation are not. In addition, it prohibits the use of anatomical materials, if no one to ask permission. Can’t be donors posthumously veterans ATO and environmental protection; orphans; recognized incapable; and those whose identity is not established.

The unified state information system of the transplant was to create up to 1 October 2018, but this has not happened. So at this point you cannot make her information and use it when determining in a particular case donor. Given this fact, the MPs were going to postpone the entry into force of the law until January 1, 2020, but the time for consideration is not enough and from 1 January 2019 repealed the law “On transplantation of organs and other anatomic human materials”, which operated until now.

We will remind, the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on health, Iryna Sysoyenko explained that from 1 January 2019 in Ukraine will be stopped all surgical operations on transplantation of bodies.

Earlier it was reported that to remove the bodies of the dead for transplantation will be possible in the presence of lifetime consent. This was discussed in the bills No. 2398а and No. 2386а-1.
