The state statistics service published the second estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) of Ukraine in the third quarter of 2018.
This was reported in the State statistics service.
According to the statistical Agency, real GDP of Ukraine in the III quarter of 2018 compared to the same period last year rose 2.8%, compared to the second quarter of this year – by 0.4%. Thus, the rating has not changed.
Nominal GDP in the third quarter of 2018 made 994,4 billion, and GDP per one person – UAH 23506.
We will remind, the international monetary Fund has lowered its growth forecast for Ukraine’s real GDP this year to 3.3% from 3.5% projected earlier.
As stated in the report of the Fund in 2019, growth is projected at 2.7%, as before.
In 2020, the Fund expects GDP growth of 3%. The IMF also raised its forecast for annual average inflation to 11% from 10.9% in 2018 and to 9.2% from 7.3% in 2019. In 2020, the average annual inflation rate forecast of the Fund shall be 5.9%.
The growth of Ukraine’s real GDP in the third quarter of 2018 in annual terms slowed to 2.8% after rising 3.8% in the same dimension in the previous quarter.
Earlier it became known that the new funding programme stand-by arrangement for Ukraine 3.9 billion approved by the Board of Directors of the International monetary Fund on Tuesday, December 18.
