Comments about this correspondent of ГолосUA said the people’s Deputy of Ukraine Victor Pynzenyk.
“I paid attention to this information (that Ukraine is among the three leading countries in the world in the frequency of systemic banking crises – Ed.) it surprised me a bit. I don’t know three crises. We have one lingering banking crisis that began in 2008 and is still ongoing, although now we are close by the exit. Maybe there were problems at individual banks, but in fact there is (cleaning – Ed.)”, the MP said.
According to V. Pynzenyk, the purification of the banking sector has benefited the country.
“Half of banks are liquidated. It is, in fact, poisoned the banking system. But banks still have problems, because the share of non-performing loans remains high. But still, to a large extent the banking sector alive through the elimination of some and the recapitalization of those who suffered as a result of the crisis. But the banking sector is not yet ready to be a pillar for economic growth,” he said.
Recall, Ukraine is among the three leading countries in the world in the frequency of systemic banking crises over the last 20 years it has happened three times.
