The government is aware that pension reform has failed, so there’s never report any of the exact numbers themselves pensions, nor how they will be converted.
Comments about this correspondent of ГолосUA said the President of the Ukrainian analytical center Alexander Okhrimenko.
“Despite the fact that pension reform is passed, no real tangible effect it brought. All were in their places. As for the recalculation, which said Pavlo Rozenko, no serious amounts of the question. We are talking about “cents”, which does not improve the lives of pensioners”, – said the analyst.
According to A. Okhrimenko, at this point it’s safe to say that the pension reform Volodymyr Groysman failed.
“This reform was originally initiated by the Prime Minister, but when its necessary, also said the IMF, Groysman was immediately rebuilt. And despite the fact that this reform is actively promoted, experts predicted that it will ultimately fail. What happened”, – the expert reminded.
He also noted that those amounts that amount to the pension taking into account rising prices – is generally not money.
“When the Prime Minister and other Ministers speak on the issue of pensions, they always try, if possible, not to name any specific figures. Call it what you want, but not the real amount of pensions. And in order to divert attention, talking about “modernizing”, “improvement” of pensions. Therefore, in the government understand that it is the failure of that reform is not working, but actively create the appearance of this work”, – summed up Alexander Okhrimenko.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that Ukraine from 1 January 2019 the recalculation of pensions will hold 2 million people, including military retirees.
“From January 1, for the military retirees will be made next recalculation of pensions. Also From January 1 kicks off a pension plan recalculation of pensions, which will apply to persons over the age of 65 years, and they have a seniority of 35 years for men, 30 for women. It is approximately 2 million pensioners”, – said Vice-Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko.
Rozenko reminded that the increase of pensions for other categories of citizens will be implemented from March 1, 2019.
