In Paris (France) to the collision of the demonstrators, who are protesting against the increase in fuel prices, police detained 39 people.

Reportedly, the “yellow jackets” gathered on the Champs Elysees and demanded from the President of France Emmanuel Makron to cancel the decision to raise taxes on fuel, which will lead to higher prices from 1 January 2019.
According to the head of the Ministry of internal Affairs Christophe Castanet, during clashes with police officers was arrested 39 protesters.
“About 200 peaceful demonstrators are on the Champs, almost 1.5 thousand offenders outside the perimeter organize clashes. The police had already arrived on the scene and repelled the attack: 39 arrested,” said Castanet.
In addition, the local media reported that during the clashes the police have used against demonstrators with tear gas and water cannons.
It is noted that the Champs Elysees will remain closed, and pedestrians will have to pass through checkpoints.
