In late November, the network got the patent documentation for technology, transparent smartphone from the Sony Corporation.
It is reported Mobiltelefon.
The patent describes a device with two displays that are located “back to back”, which can operate in different modes of transparency: transparent, translucent and opaque for each display.
Using the gyroscope device is able to determine which side of the smartphone being used at the moment, and the light sensor will help in the automatic adjustment of the transparency. The user will be able to change the transparency of the display.
Also in patent documents, there are pictures of foldable smartphone that can, for example, to show a transparent image on one display, and an opaque on the other. To be foldable device of three parts (that is, from six displays), which at this stage looks absolutely incredible.
Same can be said variant display, folding into a tube. By the way, Sony has already released a phone with a transparent display in 2009 Xperia X5 Pureness. But it’s been 9 years, and Sony is in such a position that it is necessary, such projects (especially given the growing trend for foldable devices). Who knows, maybe we’ll see prototypes this winter, on one of the largest exhibitions.
As previously reported, the American scientists at brown University have developed a special interface BrainGate, which recognizes the signals of brain activity and allows paralyzed people to control a tablet or a smartphone with the power of thought.
