Investigation against national Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko completed and in the coming days, it will be forwarded to the court.

This was during a press conference on “Results and challenges in the work of the NABU for the II half of 2018: presentation of the report” said the Director of the National anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine Artem Sytnik, the Correspondent of ГолосUA.

“The other day finally finished the business concerning Mr. Onishchenko. Is this the last big piece of the case, which included the head of the State fiscal service and a number of other employees of the subsidiary, those persons who were involved in the scheme of embezzlement of about 3 billion hryvnia. To date, the investigation has been completed, and in the coming days it will be sent to court”, – said the head of NABOO.

In addition, A. Sytnik noted that today the NEB has prepared almost 200 criminal proceedings that are currently before the courts and actually expect the creation of an anti-corruption court.

“As we said, things hang out in the courts. In the last half of 2018, for which we report, the criminal case sent to court, only 8 of them judges started matter of fact. Others are at the stage of preparatory meetings. These rates of course are not valid. Over the past six months 44 people announced suspicion. About 61 suspect, the investigation is completed. And the court sent 32 criminal cases about corruption,” he said.

We will remind, the Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko said earlier that Alexander Onishchenko, as the beneficiary of the operators of the subsidiary, organized a criminal group with the purpose of appropriation of funds of the company. According to investigators, the state suffered damage amounting to about 3 billion UAH. The investigation established the involvement in the illegal scheme 29 people, including Onishchenko. The MP left Ukraine in June 2016, since living abroad.
