In Ukraine will rise the price of gasoline after the fall of the hryvnia.
This commentary, ГолосUA said the expert on energy issues Valentin Zemlyansky.
“The national Bank saying that the fuel will go up by 4-5% a year, gave a General macroeconomic forecast, which to the fuel market is irrelevant. At the moment the predictions about the rise in price of fuel is relatively stable. The prerequisites for the rise in price there, but in the future could increase the cost of gasoline,” – said V. Zemlyansky.
He said that fuel prices depend on the hryvnia.
“If the hryvnia will be stable, fluctuations in foreign markets will be minor. This year is not expected to be significant growth in oil prices. Everything will depend on the hryvnia. If it is stable, then the cost of gasoline will not grow”,- summed up V. Zemlyansky.
We will remind, the National Bank predict a rise in fuel prices at the level of 4-5% per year, if there is no change in excise policy. This is stated in the quarterly Inflation report of the NBU in January 2019.
The regulator noted that a significant correction in oil prices in the fourth quarter of last year has identified the revision of the forecast of fuel prices in Ukraine.
“In the first quarter of 2019, is expected to approach the annual change in the price of fuel to zero. Further annual growth in fuel prices is estimated at 4-5% with the assumption of immutability in the excise policy”, – said the NBU.
