The decision of Parliament on the transfer of St. Andrew’s Church of Constantinople this calculation, which is no different from corruption.
Comments about this correspondent of ГолосUA said the people’s Deputy of Ukraine Sergey Matvienko.
“We are heavily involved in the campaign. By and large we have a separation of Church and state. And when you start to get involved in these Church Affairs, and Church Affairs, which was not one year, but decades, centuries, millennia, it is purely a matter of the Church and needs to understand only the Church in these matters,” – said the Deputy.
According to S. Matvienkov, to involve in this matter Parliament is wrong.
“And it is wrong to go and Tomos, this is not our question, and the question of the Church. And only the congregation can resolve this issue. As for St. Andrew’s Church, if there was a desire to make a decision of this kind, it was necessary to take Cabinet decision. He has enough functions and powers to such a decision. This case reminds me of really payment for some specific services that were rendered. And how is this different from the corruption that is today? Nothing,” he said.
Recall, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in General the presidential bill No. 9208, which approved the transfer of St. Andrew’s Church to the Ecumenical Patriarchate to hold services, religious rites, ceremonies and processions. The building itself will remain in state ownership.
