The Conjuring 3 Is Not Only About Some Ghosts Story – The film The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It has been showing in worldwide cinemas since Wednesday (2/6/2021). The film is a continuation of the action of a paranormal family, The Warrens subjugating spirits.
However, the third film in The Conjuring series provides a different story from the previous two films. In the first film, the Warrens defeat an evil spirit named Bathseba, while in Conjuring 2, the Warrens are confronted with Valak.
This time, Conjuring 3 does not present a real evil ghost like Bathseba or Valak. Instead, the tension and terror that is given will be increasingly felt through certain sects that give terror. The storyline of this film is much neater and does not cause a sense of “lost” for the audience. Not too many jumpscared and puzzles that make the audience confused like the two previous films.

The outline of this film tells of the terror that took place in the city of Brookfield, America in 1981. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It takes a true story about the events of a sadistic murder committed by Arne Cheyenne Johnson.
In that tragic incident, Arne felt himself out of control while committing murder. Ed and Lorraine Warren also have to face the power of demons and humans that are far more cruel than the previous two series.
The Warrens must solve the mystery of the demon worshiping sect. Although there are no iconic ghosts like Valak, Annabelle or Bathsheba, this film still presents a gripping terror.
Some Differences Between The Conjuring Series
Horror movie lovers is really exciting about The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. The film, directed by Michael Chaves, will be released in Indonesian cinemas starting June 2, 2021. Before watching The Conjuring 3, let’s flashback the story of The Conjuring 1 and 2.
The Conjuring film first aired in 2013. This film tells the story of Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga) who are a husband and wife who have paranormal abilities.
One day, they were both visited by a family who asked for help because they felt something was wrong at the house in Harrisville Rhode Island. Ed and Lorraine Warren decide to help and investigate the family home.
Finally it is known, the house was once owned by a witch named Bathsheba. It was this figure who had been carrying out terror and his curse cursed anyone who lived or wanted to take his land.
Meanwhile, the film The Conjuring 2 tells a story set in the suburbs of England in 1977. At that time there was a mother of five, Peggy Hodgson, who was frightened because her son, Janet, was possessed by a demon.
The Hodgson family continued to be terrorized until they finally asked the Warren family for help. This time, the terror experienced comes from the ghost of a nun named Valak.
Not much different from the previous one, The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It tells the story of a terrorist murder in Brookfield, America in 1981. However, this film does not focus on evil ghosts, but evil spirits who want humans to do evil.
Although different, The Conjuring universe is always interesting to follow. Based on a true story, the Warren family’s actions against spirits still make the audience curious.
