The authorities will have to go to all of the requirements of the EU and the IMF for loans to avoid default.
Comments about this correspondent of ГолосUA said the people’s Deputy of Ukraine Yuriy Pavlenko.
“Both the IMF and the EU put clear conditions to return the funds. So they came back, they see a number of dangers that exist in the country. It is, first and foremost, corruption, a weak economy, an inefficient government and a lack of understanding, which political system would be on, who will repay debts. Therefore, they are further in agreement with the government looking for these formulation. And then our government already offers. Let’s just say the demands of the IMF are more economic, while the EU have a political component,” – said the Deputy.
According to Yuri Pavlenko, the corruption there in the first place, and the requirements of the IMF – anti-corruption court has already “passed”.
“And, unfortunately, the Ukrainian government agreed that it will repay debts for the loans that they close the holes its unprofessional by the Ukrainian people. Therefore, one and second loans put Ukraine in dependence, but the government and the current government is so fine-tuned that without these funds, the country will default and the situation will worsen. And option they have but to go to all the demands of the IMF and the EU to obtain funds,” he said.
Recall, Ukraine and the European Union signed a Memorandum of understanding and a loan agreement on granting EU macro-financial assistance to 1 billion euros. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
The signing took place with the participation of President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova and head of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakov Smoliy.
It is reported that in the near future the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine will propose to the President Peter Poroshenko to urgently submit for consideration of Verkhovna Rada the draft law on the ratification of these treaties.
