The Cabinet approved a pilot project for the use of gadgets instead of cash registers to save the budget.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the implementation of a pilot project on the use of smartphones and tablets as the latest cash registers.

According to the explanatory Memorandum, the loss of purchasing power negatively affects entrepreneurial activity, which discourages small and medium enterprises, which are obliged to buy expensive models of cash registers on the market cash registers in Ukraine. In addition, international experience and existing development allow the use of new approaches in the field of application of cash registers by introducing alternative technologies, in particular application of advanced computer-cash systems, software and hardware systems and information technologies, the use of which by the Registrar of settlement operations, in particular, can serve as electronic consumer devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
It is assumed that in the course of the pilot project, which runs until the end of 2019, there will be a study and pilot operation of the latest devices for the registration of payment transactions (PPO). Will be studied the possibility of their application for settlement operations, operations of purchase-sale of foreign currency, the feasibility of their implementation into industrial exploitation and further use by business entities along with the traditional models of RRO.
After rejection of traditional cash registers and e-Ukrainian business will be able to save up to 2 billion hryvnia, said Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.
According to Groisman, the transition of the business from cash registers to electronic checks businesses will get rid of the so-called “monopoly cash”. “After the introduction of electronic receipts, a business can save about 2 billion hryvnia in additional fees. It was always a monopoly, to put the entrepreneurs “on the needle”. It was draconian history. Now the system gives you the opportunity to get rid of the “cash-hardware of slavery,” – said Groisman.
