Qatar withdraws from the Organization of countries-exporters of oil (OPEC) from 1 January 2019.
About it reports Bloomberg with reference to the Minister of energy of the country Serda Saad al-Kaabi, reports “Mirror of week”.
Speaking at a press conference, the Minister said that Qatar, which is the largest exporter of liquefied natural gas in the world, intends to focus on the production of this energy resource.
Also al-Kaabi said that after leaving OPEC, the government will not adhere to the agreements of the organization to reduce oil production.
We will remind, OPEC is an international organization created by oil producing countries to control oil production. It is composed of 15 countries: Algeria, Angola, Venezuela, Gabon, Iran, Iraq, Congo, Kuwait, Qatar, Libya, UAE, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Equatorial Guinea and Ecuador.
