Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he does not respond to the attempts of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to speak on phone because they do not want to participate in his campaign.
He said this to journalists on Wednesday, commenting on the lack of a telephone conversation with Poroshenko, requested by the Ukrainian side, reports TASS.
According to him, he does not want and will not take part in the “simple combination” of the Ukrainian President.
“It’s not that I just shy away and not want Peter to speak, is not the case. The fact that I don’t want to take part in his election campaign,” Putin said.
He added that Poroshenko allegedly “skillfully creates a crisis and provocative situation for which the blame shifted to Russia,” and then shows how to successfully solve the problems.
Earlier, Putin and Erdogan discussed the creation of a unified local Church in Ukraine.
