Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Johannesburg has asked his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to remove a ban on the supply of Russian meat.
It is reported by Gordon with reference to the press service of the Kremlin.
The Russian President reminded the Turkish leader that he promised to invite him to a restaurant. Erdogan reiterated that he was ready to do it.
“Yes, but we agreed that when you are our meat products suffer on the market, when the restaurant will be meat dishes of Russian meat, and we will come,” – said Putin.
The Turkish President said that “with great pleasure will wait” on the head of the Kremlin.
Turkey has banned the supply of Russian meat into the country after Russia as of 1 January 2016 imposed a ban on some Turkish agricultural products. It was shot down in November 2015 Turkish Russian fighter bomber su-24.
