Order received for achievements in creating a unified Church in Ukraine
President Petro Poroshenko presented state awards to three of the metropolitans of merit in establishing an independent Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The text of the relevant decree No. 7/2019 posted on the website of the head of state, reports korrespondent.net.
“For significant contribution to the affirmation of spirituality, charity and interfaith harmony, a weighty personal contribution to the development of an independent Orthodox Church of Ukraine, many years of dedicated service to the Ukrainian people, I decree: to award the order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise IV degree Dastatkova Vladimir Ivanovich (Simeon) – Metropolitan; to award the order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree drabinko Alexander Nikolayevich (Alexander) – the Metropolitan; to award the order of merit II degree Abramchuk Stepan Vasil’evich (of Andrew) – Metropolitan”, – the document says.
