In the North of Poland near the border with the Kaliningrad oblast of the Russian Federation will build a new frontier. The object in the village of Dubeninki Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship will cost the budget RP 14.6 million zloty (€3.4 m).

The ceremonial laying of the pledge took place on Monday with the participation of Deputy Minister of internal Affairs and administration Yaroslav Zelinskiy. Construction is planned to complete by the end of 2019.
“It is an important object because it is located in a place that has a special, strategic importance, near the three borders (Polish, Belarusian and Russian – ed.) and Suwalskie isthmus (the corridor). Here the defense of the border of Poland and at the same time the external border of the European Union is a priority,” said Zelinsky.
As the newspaper notes, Warmian-Masurian Border service Department in Dubeninki is the frontier, where several employees, but not in very good conditions. The new facility should significantly improve the situation.
“In the current immigration situation, we see how effective is the protection of the borders and territories of Poland from those who should not be on our field, if it does not comply with requirements. Migration is something natural in the modern world, but their need to control and protect against illegal movement,” said Zelinsky and stressed that the new facility will enhance the security of the Polish border.
