The theme of the Rotterdam+ will continue to massively discussed and criticized before the elections.
About this in comments to Voice of UA said the expert on international Affairs Andrew Buzarov.
“The introduction of the so-called quasi-market formula düsseldorf+ Rotterdam+ still causes a lot of criticism in Ukraine. The main reason for the increase in tariffs for housing and communal services, which followed the implementation of these formulas. However, it is important to understand that these market mechanisms are required as part of the integration of Ukraine into the EU. Formula can you at least 100 times called “scheme”, but we should not forget that their implementation was supported by the international community,” commented A. Buzarov.
As noted Buzarov, Ukraine assumed a number of obligations on implementation of standards in the electricity sector and this work is gradually implemented.
“Joining the Energy community in 2012, Ukraine has committed to gradually adapt its legislation to the requirements of the Third energy package directives and regulations, the essence of which is to limit the monopoly suppliers of gas and electricity, which is achieved by creating equal, competitive conditions in the energy market for all participants and transparent formation of prices (tariffs) for their services. Its implementation also provides the main date document signed between Ukraine and the EU Association Agreement. The above formula are elements of this reform”, – said the expert.
According to him, the theme of the Rotterdam+ will continue to massively discussed and criticized before the elections.
“Most of the political parties, especially the opposition, will use this subject in their election programs, political statements and speeches. Because the increase in tariffs paves the way for a thorough criticism. The leader of the “Fatherland” Yulia Tymoshenko has repeatedly raised the issue of rates and said that after coming to power, it will reduce them significantly. Co-chair of the Opposition bloc Yuriy Boyko has repeatedly called the tariff increase crime against the people and urged them to reduce in two times. On the possibility of reducing tariffs for housing and communal services twice said also Anatoly Gritsenko and other oppositional politicians”,- summed A. Buzarov.
We remind you that the Director of the National anti-corruption Bureau Sytnyk during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on preventing and combating corruption has recently stated that the amount of illegally obtained funds as a result of installation formulas Rotterdam+ is estimated at 15 billion hryvnia.
