National Bank set the official rate at 27,89 hryvnia per dollar

НБУ установил официальный курс на уровне 27,89 гривны за доллар

On 18 December the national Bank of Ukraine (NBU) set the official exchange rate at the level 27,89 hryvnia per dollar.

This was reported on the website of the regulator.

Thus, as of today there are such rates of major foreign currencies against the hryvnia:

1 USD – 27,89 UAH;
1 Euro – 31,63 UAH;
10 Russian rubles – 4.19 UAH.

Thus, compared to yesterday’s values, the dollar rose five cents. During the week – from last Tuesday, 11 Dec – the us dollar became more expensive already on 11 cents. Previously, the experts found out, how long will cheapen the dollar. Experts believe that the hryvnia will again begin to weaken and by January the dollar amount above 29 hryvnia.

The Euro rose 22 cents, after falling 28 cents. The Euro is holding below the psychological milestone of 32 hryvnia.

The value of 10 Russian rubles has remained unchanged.

Monday, December 17, the dollar on the interbank currency market of Ukraine decreased by two cents in buying and selling. So, wire the U.S. currency traded at the level of 27 and 87/27,89 UAH (buy/sell). The value of the Euro was established at 31,61/31,63 UAH, up to 11-12 cents. Today’s auction has not started yet.

Earlier, former Deputy head of the NBU Yaroslav Soltis said that the Ukrainians in July 2018 there is a large demand for the currency.

Recall, the national Bank revised the method of calculating the official exchange rate of hryvnia to the dollar. About it reports a press-service of the NBU.

Henceforth, the rate will be calculated on the basis of information about all the transactions on purchase-sale of dollars on terms of “TOD”, “Tom” and “spot” which in the day of account was banks on the interbank market with other banks and with the NBU and the NBU received before 15:30 of the respective working day.
