Large-scale fire in a hypermarket in Saint-Petersburg: published a video of emergency

In Saint-Petersburg (Russia) morning of 10 November, fire in the hypermarket “Lenta”. There was video of the incident.

The fire covered 4,800 square metres, the roof of the building collapsed. Extinguish the fire 12 fire brigades. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

A one-storey building was evacuated 800 people. Information about victims is not specified.

Earlier it was reported that the fire spread to the entire area of a single-storey hypermarket, people were evacuated.

According to the MOE, there were no injuries.

The supermarket roof had completely collapsed, say in the MOE.

However, as reported TASS with reference to EMERCOM of the Russian Federation. In the headquarters of the fire reported that in a burning store collapsed roof. “The area of the collapse was 3200 square meters”, – stated in the message.

Doctors reported two injured, one hospitalized, the nature of his injuries and condition was not specified. According to eyewitnesses, in the area of the fire observed thick black smoke, the building is burning open fire.

As reports TV channel 24, two people were killed.

In the MOE reported that according to preliminary data, the cause of the fire could be a malfunction of electrical equipment under the roof of the building. The fire was rated grade 3 of difficulty.
