The other day the Hermitage hosted an annual charity reception. Among the guests this time were not only popular actresses such as Ksenia Rappoport, Marina Alexandrova, Anna Tsukanova-Kott and curators of the largest Russian museums Olga Sviblova and Marina Loshak, but also the famous Hollywood director Darren Aranofsky.
Recently, he increasingly began to come to Russia. At the end of April, Aranofsky read a public lecture on directing and cinema in Moscow. June 30, he went to the Bolshoi Theater for Kirill Serebrennikov’s “Nureyev”. After the incredible success of the film “The Black Swan” (the drama of behind-the-scenes discord in the ballet troupe), anyone like Aranofsky had to see the main ballet of the year. Now the director visited St. Petersburg and the most important sights of the city.
This year the event was held for the 13th time, and the broadcast from the carpet track was conducted by the site of the DLT (House of Leningrad Trade). The program of the evening consisted of an excursion to different halls of the Hermitage, a gala dinner in the Jordanian gallery and a grand ball at the Field Marshal’s Hall. All the funds collected this evening will go to the museum development fund.
