The number of earthquakes in Indonesia have increased significantly in 2018 and amounted to more than 11.5 million, reports news Agency Antara with reference to the administration of meteorology, climatology and Geophysics (BMKG).
According to BMKG, in 2017 there were 7 172 aftershocks, and in 2018 took place on 11 577 earthquakes of various magnitudes and depth of the hearth. It is noted that the number of earthquakes with a magnitude of more than 5 amounted to 297,according to RIA Novosti.
Earlier it was reported that the number of dead or missing in natural disasters in Indonesia to 2018 was the highest in the last decade.
