In Paris on 6 January sparked a new wave of anti-government protests that turned into riots.
According to the AP, it all began peacefully, but the rally got out of control because the police had to evacuate the speaker of the government of Benjamin Hryvnia, reports the observer.
So, the demonstrators deviated from the agreed route and started burning cars, causing the police used water cannons and flash grenades.
Moreover, the protesters attacked the office of the speaker of the French government of Benjamin Hryvnia, partially destroying the front door of the building in connection with which evacuated employees.
According to preliminary data, the protest was attended by about 50 thousand people throughout the country. Only in Paris militiamen have counted about 3,500 people where arrested 34 of the demonstrators.
The President of France Emmanuel Makron wrote in his microblog on Twitter about the “excessive cruelty” by the “yellow jackets.”
“Those who do these actions, forgetting the essence of our civil contract. Justice will be served. Everyone needs to take himself in hand for the start of dialogue,” wrote macron.
These #YellowVest protestors parted to let an ambulance pass. Very unlike certain BLM and Antifa protests which have intentionally stopped ambulances in the past. pic.twitter.com/Ob3JO3lRb9
