HBO has not yet managed to release the final season of the “Game of Thrones”, which is expected at the end of next year, as it was announced that the prequel has been shot. A pilot series has already been ordered: a prequel, whose actions take place thousands of years before the events of the released series. The authors of the script will be the author George RR Martin (George R.R. Martin) and the screenwriter “Kingsmena” Jane Goldman (Jane Goldman).
“One thing is certain: from the horrific secrets of the history of Västerås to the true origin of the white walkers, the riddles of the East to the history of the Stark … it’s not the story that we think we know,” says the HBO magazine line for the project.
Given the scale and history of the world, there are many opportunities for where this project can go – and the perversions that it can take when the truth behind these myths is revealed. The announcement seems to exclude a couple of opportunities – at least for this project – for example, the story of the Robert Rebellion, the war that led Ned Stark and Robert Baratheon, which lead directly to the events of the Game of Thrones. And also to Egon the Conqueror, the capture of Targarien Vesteras, which took place in just a few centuries.
