46-year-old Jennifer Garner and 45-year-old Ben Affleck have long ago severed their relationship. The actor began meeting with the television producer Lindsay Shukus, but the actress decided to take a break in finding new hobbies. The only thing that unites a star couple is their children. Legally, divorce has not yet been recognized as valid, but now it has become known that it can be declared invalid because of unfinished documentary cases.
According to information that has become available to the American edition of E! Online, a divorce can not be carried out in the absence of important documents related to the issue of custody of children. Two years after the start of the divorce proceedings, the couple did not decide who to stay with 12-year-old Violet, nine-year-old Serafina and six-year-old Samuel.
Garner must send Affleke a final decision on this case, as well as submit an application to the court. Otherwise, consideration of the divorce proceedings will be suspended or even rejected, and divorce, respectively, will not be considered valid. The judge did not specify the time in which the couple should resolve this issue, but, according to the rules of the California legal proceedings, the case can be rejected if the parties do not take the final decision within two years. Actors, apparently, are in no hurry.
Recall, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner met on the set of the movie “Daredevil” in 2003, and two years later married. They were together for 12 years and filed for divorce in 2016, after the actress learned of the betrayal of her husband.
