“Am I ready to be a believer ptsu? If the monks of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra will go to a single Ukrainian Orthodox Church, then I’ll do it too. If they decide to be with the Russian Orthodox Church, I can be there, where will my spiritual mentors,” – said the Ukrainian boxer.
“I will say frankly: I’m worried about the monks, those people who have dedicated their lives to serving God. I regularly communicate with them, draw from them spiritual food. Understand that they should not be drawn into conflicts. You cannot prevent these people to pray because it is their mission on Earth.
Yes, I already stated that I will protect the monks of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, if they attacked radicals. However, I hope that this case will not happen and common sense will prevail. I believe that Church leaders and state officials agree, no one will pick up power, monks will not be evicted forcibly with laurels,” said Usyk.
