The Belgian service of air traffic control (Skeyes) has announced the closure of airspace for days because of a nationwide strike on February 13.

Air traffic will be closed on Tuesday, February 12, at 22:00 on day and 22:00 Wednesday, February 13.
“Despite all the efforts of the leadership of Skeyes, the company does not have sufficient information on the staffing situation during a national strike for six hours before the start of the campaign, which will begin tonight. Skeyes staff are not obliged to report their intentions to work or not during labour actions,” – said in a statement.
Last week, the largest airline of Belgium, Brussels Airlines has warned of the cancellation of all flights on February 13 in connection with the strike in the country.
Mission of Ukraine to the EU also warns ukraitsev about the strike and urged to consider this when planning travel.
“The work of the international airport of Charleroi is stopped, national and international airport “Zaventem” in Brussels will provide the minimum services prescribed by law”, – reported in the representation.
Trade unions demand wage increase, increased vacation time and pensions. It is expected that the strike will affect the majority of the public, rail, sea and air transport.
Note that on Wednesday in Brussels, begins a two-day meeting of defense Ministers of the NATO countries.
