The Kremlin is unlikely to start a full-scale attack on Ukraine because of the fear of disastrous consequences.
In an interview with “the Facts,” said the veteran of foreign intelligence, Lieutenant-General Vasily Bogdan. However, in his opinion, Russia can go to foreign territory.
“I don’t think there will be a full-scale offensive. Putin has realized that Ukraine is not an easy prey. But we are preparing to repel the invasion,” said Bogdan.
According to the General, the threat of attack comes not only from Russian territory — the Kremlin could exploit Belarus. It is noted that this is due to concerns about the country’s absorption by Russia.
“Ukraine now pays great attention to the protection of the border with neighbouring Belarus,” he stressed.
