According to the representative of the Auction House Christie, the picture of Pablo Picasso was “accidentally” damaged on Friday.

A painting called “Le Marlin” or “Sailor” was damaged during the final stages of preparation, on the eve of the auction, which takes place on May 12-15. The picture belongs to Steve Wynn (Steve Wynn), a former casino magnate.

This is not the first time that Winn suffered a picture of Picasso. In 2006, Wynn accidentally pierced the canvas of Pablo Picasso’s 1932 “Le Rêve” elbow, showing it to his guests. What, however, did not prevent him from selling it for $ 155 million at an auction.

Last week, a painting by Picasso in 1905 entitled “A Young Girl with a Basket of Flowers” was sold for $ 115 million at an auction.
