The meeting of leaders of Russia and USA Vladimir Putin and Donald trump can be held in June 2019 at the next G20 summit, which will take place in Japan.
This was stated in interview to TV channel “Russia-1” presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, reports RIA Novosti.
“If to speak on international forums, then maybe in June at the summit. But, I think, very important for us and our colleagues to find some sort of option to meet before,” said Ushakov.
However, he found it difficult to comment on the information that the meeting of heads of state will be possible only when the condition for the release of detained in the Kerch Strait Ukrainian ships and military personnel, allegedly by the United States.
At the same time, Ushakov said the American side believes that the contacts must not be interrupted. “If not of meetings at the highest level, it is necessary to keep them at lower levels. It is also probably right,” he added.
