Ukrainian athlete Natalia Prischepa commented on his victory at the European championship-2018 in the 800 metres in Berlin. She told the official website of the athletics Federation of Ukraine.
“I am very glad that my orange number of European champion for another two years remains with me. Of course, to defend the title harder than to get it first, because it’s one thing when you come to compete, to fight, and another when you go to start with the title. He is now yours, but there comes a point when you realize – or you stay, or you lose it. First and foremost it is tough.
I was lucky that I even before the start managed to calm down and soberly assess the situation in the race, pondered what was happening on the course. So I saw who’s blocking me. Fortunately, this trap I have successfully made it out.
Two years ago I first ran the 800 meters at competitions of such level. So, I went to the results, but at such a high level I’m not very focused – where you need to go forward, where to accelerate when starting to run a little slower in General, how tactically to spread out the distance. But two years have already gained experience and more know how to act at a distance in a given situation”, – quotes Natalia Scion uaf.org.ua.
We will remind, the Ukrainian woman Natalia Prischepa became the champion of Europe in 2018 in the 800 meters. Another Ukrainian Olga Lyakhova has won at this distance “bronze”. Adding that Natalia Prischepa defended his title of European champion.
