At the moment the current government has enormous interesting, but there’s a danger of de-legitimization of power, with at least 50% of the population is not yet decided for whom they will vote.
This opinion in comments to the correspondent of ГолосUA said political analyst Alexei Yakubina.
“At the moment, the growing distrust of the government. Different polls show that from 25 to 30% of the citizens don’t trust politicians. Thus, there is a system delegitimize power. And this is a very dangerous situation,” – said the analyst.
In this case, according to A. Yakubina, some people will either leave the country and then, or will think that politics is not the way to solve problems.
“Also, there is still 20% undecided citizens with those for whom they will vote. And if you add up these two categories of citizens, we get a figure of around 50% of the population,” – said the expert.
He also added that traced the growth of opposition support on topics that are strictly censored by the authorities. In particular, the question of peace negotiations. And as in society there is a request for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbas, the opposition candidates receive the support of the population, albeit small.
“In particular, we are talking about the increase in ratings Yuriy Boyko, who constantly raises the issue of the peace negotiations. As well as for the socio-economic issues. Also similar pattern is observed with the support of Yulia Tymoshenko, who in his “New course” refers to specific topics that are associated with the future of the country and its economy,” the analyst recalled.
Thus, according to A. Yakubina, despite the fact that none of the candidates can boast high ratings, however, there is a clear trend to increase the minimum ratings of the opposition forces.
“Also, the frustration in the existing political forces and their leaders leads to the fact that there is a request for such characters as the Vladimir Zelensky and Svyatoslav Vakarchuk. However, because they had not fully declared their political ambitions, their rankings are based on citizens willing to vote against all” – said the analyst.
For example, if we talk about Vakarchuk, according to experts, will vote for him as a rule, those who are disappointed in the ideals of euromaidan are holding, as well as in the party “Samopomich” Andriy Sadovyi. But the big disadvantage of these two candidates is the lack of extensive party structure.
“So now one of the main issues is how will be formed the second round of elections. As at that balance, which is available at this point, Poroshenko is adjudged to be in him. It was here at Bank of feverish desire to cancel the election,” said the analyst.
Also according to experts, an important aspect of elections is the question of the anti-Maidan electorate. And the candidate Boyko is precisely the point of crystallization. And on this field there were similar figures in order to split the electorate. For example, Vilkul. As if to break it will fail in this case, in the second round out smartly and Tymoshenko.
“Therefore, the current elections will be a test within the country and to the international community, the changes that have occurred in the country. Since the main principle of democracy is alternation of power”, – summed A. Yakubina.
We will remind, on December 25, in an interview Dmitry Gordon, a showman, one of the founders of the Studio “Quarter-95” Vladimir Zelensky said whether he would run for President in the upcoming elections of 2019.
“I think about it,” said the showman, commenting on the issue, decided whether he’s with his participation in the presidential campaign.
“I think about it. Very think. Bow down … too Early to tell,” said he, and added in a clarifying question: “Well, I think maybe – Yes.”
“Maybe. Indeed, I very seriously think. Very much. I this much talked about with the family. For me, their feedback is very important,” – said Zelensky.
