The Ministry of social policy working on the draft law on professional pension system, which will soon be submitted for approval by the Cabinet of Ministers.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of social policy Mykola Shambir, reports UNN.
“One of the elements of the emergence in Ukraine of funded pensions, we see the launch of the occupational pension system. And the bill we will soon submit to the Cabinet of Ministers. This may be the first element, which will enable then to fully launch a funded system,” said Shambir.
According to him, the occupational pension system provides for transfer of all preferential pensions to the funded professional system.
“The man who worked in harmful conditions, to retire early, but not at the expense of today, in my opinion, a backward system when the company recovers, pension, Pension Fund, and thanks to the storage system,” he added.
Also Shambir noted that the occupational pension system “allows you to run an element of accumulation, which in the future will provide fairly effective system.”
Earlier, the government announced that the next indexation of pensions in Ukraine is scheduled for March 2019.
According to the draft budget, in 2019, the minimum pension will amount to UAH 1452. The pension Fund next year will allocate to $ 166.5 billion.
