In Paris was the first action of the movement “red scarves”, positions itself against the protest of the “yellow jackets”.

The demonstration started from the square of the Nation. The protesters chanted “Yes to democracy, no revolution”. As reported by the French media, some of the demonstrators were wearing t-shirts with slogans such as “I love my Republic” or “Stop the violence”. Participants carried the flags of France and the European Union.
The initiator of the action made by the engineer from Toulouse, Laurent Soulier, close in their political views towards the party Forward, Republic of! the President of France Emmanuel Makron. According to the Agency dpa, “red scarves” do not directly support the policy of the French government, but act in defence of democracy and institutions in the country.
