Ukraine risks not to receive a tranche of 1 billion Euro macro-financial assistance from the European Union (EU).

This commentary, ГолосUA said economist Alexander Okhrimenko.

“Under the terms of the EU, this year we can only get 500 million. In addition, this billion financial aid to Ukraine may not receive. The conditions for its provision is very confusing. For this reason, even if our country will fulfill all the conditions, then the tranche of the EU may not provide. The situation is that the fashion for Ukraine was held, and the EU are considering financial assistance as a small SOP”,- said Alexander Okhrimenko.

According to the economist, Ukraine on such conditions money from the EU does not need.

“Most of the money will go to the EU. These funds are spent on European consultants and products. Take them to back to give the European Union is stupid. We borrow, which then still have to repay. Tranche of 1 billion Euro Ukraine is not necessary, as it is of no economic interest”,- concluded Alexander Okhrimenko.

Recall President of Ukraine and the EU representatives signed the agreement on attraction of funds fourth program of macro-financial assistance, which amounts to 1 billion euros.

This was announced by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

We have just signed a Memorandum of understanding and loan agreement between Ukraine and the EU concerning the 4th program of the EU macro-financial assistance to Ukraine“, – said Poroshenko.

According to representatives of the EU to obtain EU funds, Ukraine must fulfill a number of conditions, particularly those that need to be made with the prior tranche of the EU (it is about 6 reforms). 12 reforms Ukraine needs to implement the new program.
