Ukraine on 7 October resumed imports of natural gas via the Slovak route, suspended from 2 to 6 October in connection with the planned repair in this area.
This is evidenced by the Slovak operator Eustream, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
The supply of gas 7 of October amounted to 23.6 million cubic metres, slightly below the average of imports in the month of September. The application for 8 Oct is also the 23.6 million cubic meters.
Earlier it was reported that Slovakian reverse route scheduled maintenance was performed on the second thread of the gas pipeline Dolyna-Uzhgorod-state Border, in particular at compressor stations of the Valley, Roses, KS-1 and KS-2 respectively.
Recall, that Ukraine in January-September 2018 has reduced natural gas imports by 24.7% compared to the same period of 2017 to 8.1 billion cubic meters In particular, from Slovakia during this period, there were 5 billion cubic meters of gas (-36,4% to January-September-2017), Hungary – 2, bcm (+27,9%), Poland – 538,7 million cubic m (-37,4%).
In 2017, Ukraine increased natural gas import by 26.8% compared with the year 2016 – up to 14 billion cubic meters.
Ukraine for almost three years does not import natural gas under contract with Russia’s Gazprom, buying online exclusively on its Western border.
