Social network Twitter has published an archive of more than 3.8 thousand accounts that are relevant to the Russian “Agency of Internet research,” better known as a “Troll factory”.
Information regarding the publication database is published on the website Twitter.
“Today we publish all the accounts and related content that may be related to information operations, starting in 2016. We have previously reported on these activities, but now disclose much more information about it,” reads the statement by the leadership of Twitter, responsible for the security of the social network.
It is noted that the database for political propaganda on the part of Russia and Iran.
“This large database covers 3 841 account relating to “the Agency’s Internet research”, which is based in Russia. 770 other accounts probably originate from Iran”, – stated in the message.
In accordance with the management of Twitter, with these CANTV spread out over 10 million messages and more than 2 million pictures, “gtk” and videos. All of these data were published by the social network unchanged.
As reported, the U.S. state Department released the 20th of September for the list of sanctions against 33 Russian individuals and legal entities by the US government according to the Act of countering the enemies of America through sanctions (CAATSA). Among them was listed and “online research” (known as a “Troll Factory” in St.-Petersburg), which belongs to a Russian oligarch, “Putin’s cook” Eugene Prigogine.
Previously, it was also established that nearly 150 million users of social networks Facebook and Instagram were able to see the paid political advertising and publishing common “Agency of Internet research” from St. Petersburg.
