Ukraine may receive the budget guarantee from the world Bank in the amount of $800 million only in case of continuation of cooperation with the International monetary Fund.
This was during a press conference, said world Bank Director for Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine, satu Kähkönen, UNIAN reports.
According to her, funds will be allocated to support the reforms in the country. However, says Kähkönen, to get money Ukraine should properly implement the program of cooperation with the IMF.
She added that the Executive Directorate of the world Bank expects a positive outcome of the negotiations with the IMF.
Earlier it was reported that the world Bank at the request of the government of Ukraine will provide $650 million of guarantee to attract foreign markets for about $800 million in the case of the entry into force of a number of economic laws and the agreement with the IMF regarding the fourth revision of the program.
Meanwhile, on the eve of Ukraine reached an agreement in principle with the IMF about the price of gas. According to the agreement, gas prices for the population will be consistent with the market price level in 2020.
