Due to the introduction of martial law, the Ukrainians will continue to worsen consumer sentiment.

“At the moment the citizens have worsened consumer sentiment due to psychological factors. Usually in winter the mood of the consumer is always falling. In addition, it was affected by the imposition of martial law in the country that does not play in favor of business development,” said Victor Stepaniuc.
According to him, in the future, consumer sentiment of Ukrainians will depend on the political situation in the country.
“I do not exclude that due to the imposition of martial law, it will continue to deteriorate”,- concluded Victor Stepaniuc.
We will remind, in October of 2018, the consumer sentiment index was at 56.9, which is 5.7 points lower than in September.
This is evidenced by the monthly survey of consumer sentiment in Ukraine GfK Ukraine.
The greatest changes have occurred in the index of devaluation expectations and the expectations regarding the development of the economy in the coming year.
The index of inflation expectations remained almost unchanged – 190,3, which is 0.1 p. less than last month.
