1.U Burberry has a new logo
The changes promised by Ricardo Tishi continue to pour into one of the most traditional British fashion houses. This time, the brand logo has undergone changes. The recognizable rider rode away in an unknown direction. Artist Peter Saville, who, incidentally, drew covers for the albums of the group Joy Division, created a modern interpretation of the classical cell Burberry, which wove and the capital letter of the brand name. Working with fashion brands for Saville is also not new. He already worked with Jil Sander, Yohji Yamamoto and Calvin Klein.
2. Emily Ratjakovski starred in underwear from DKNY
The 27-year-old model, which this week pleased us with a reincarnation in Jackie Kennedy, returned to her usual role as a languid, half-naked beauty in the new company DKNY. Emily introduced a collection of underwear, which included both minimalistic comfortable white sets, and more sensual lace models.
3. Changes in American Vogue
Rumors that Anna Wintour will leave the post of editor-in-chief, still not confirmed, but the historical event nevertheless is coming. The author of the September cover of the magazine, which will be Beyonce, was 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell. According to rumors, the singer was given full creative freedom, and it was she who invited Mitchell. The young man will be the first black photographer who was awarded the right to remove the cover, perhaps the most authoritative fashion edition in the world. However, despite the young age, in the industry Tyler is not a beginner. After studying at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, he worked with Marc Jacob, Givenchy, and also with Teen Vogue.
4. Milla Jovovich in the “space” campaign Balmain
42-year-old Hollywood actress became the face of the French brand and starred in the autumn-winter campaign. The images combined cosmic aesthetics and industrial style. Milla poses in different outfits, among which there are shiny dresses and a puffy pink suit, against the background of untreated gray walls of the abandoned building. In the scenery of whether the alien invasion, or the apocalypse to the actress is not the first time – Jovovich was famous primarily for his roles in the films “The Fifth Element” and “Resident Evil.”
5. The new collaboration between Zara and Steven Meisel
In its autumn-winter campaign, the Spanish brand once again decided to forget that it belongs to the mass-market. The author of the campaign was again the legendary fashion photographer Stephen Meisel, who already worked with Zara over the autumn-winter campaign last year. Instead of minimalistic shots, this time, real photos were produced, transferring us to the world of bohemia. Models, including Megan Collison, Lexie Bolling, Chris Grykaite, Carolyn Walter, Fei Fey, are posing against the backdrop of richly decorated interiors, and the collection itself is clearly inspired by the fashion of the 70s and 80s: there are many long dresses with prints, kerchiefs, shoes on the platform and massive jewelry.
6. Jiji Hadid, Advoa Aboa and Abby Lee Kershaw in the new campaign Fendi
The Italian brand introduced a new campaign, whose faces were Gigi Hadid, Advoah Aboa and Abby Lee Kershaw. Over the entourage for a long time did not think – the decoration was a photo studio. Well, attention here, of course, is riveted to the models themselves, and to the clothes and accessories that they present. The main ones in the collection were coffee-brown shades and the Fendi logo.
