Ukrainian tennis player Alexander Dolgopolov will not play in Wimbledon-2018 due to injury.
It will take place the 33-year-old Italian Simone Bolel, reports Oasport.it.
This is not the first serious tournament that Alexander was forced to miss. It was the same in Roland Garros-2018, of which the Ukrainian has withdrawn due to injury.
In the first round of Wimbledon-2018 opponent Dolgopolov was supposed to be Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas, but now Ukrainians will replace Boolell.
Thus, in the main draw of Wimbledon 2018 will serve only one representative of Ukraine – Sergiy Stakhovsky. In the first round he will play against 29-year-old Portuguese Joao Souza.
Wimbledon-2018 starts July 2 and will last two weeks. The current champion of the tournament is the Swiss Roger Federer.
