Last year more than 17 thousand Ukrainians have applied for a job in Cyprus – more than in any other country.
This was announced on Thursday, August 9, the Ministry of social policy in response to the request of UKRINFORM.
“The largest flows of labour migration was to Cyprus (17.8 thousand persons), Poland (12.4 thousand persons), Germany (9.2 thousand persons), the UK (8.1 thousand persons), Greece (6.3 thousand persons), Panama (2.8 thousand persons), USA (2.6 thousand persons), the Netherlands (2.6 thousand persons)”, – stated in the message.
In the Ministry also noted that among employed abroad of citizens of Ukraine in 2017, one-third previously worked in transport of 10% in the processing industry and 10% in construction.
Overall in 2017 83,8 thousand Ukrainian citizens of Ukraine were employed abroad by business entities that have the corresponding license of Ministry of social policy on mediation.
At the same time in Department noted that these data “refers to a separate part of the labour market, because the majority of our countrymen find a job abroad without intermediaries.”
