Anthony Bourdain, a gifted chef, narrator and writer who entertained viewers around the world, studying cultures, kitchens and human condition for almost two decades, died. He was 61 years old.
CNN confirmed Burden’s death on Friday and said that the cause of death was suicide.
Burden was in France working on the upcoming episode of his award-winning CNN series “Unknown Parts.” His close friend Eric Ripert, the French chef, discovered that Burden did not respond from his hotel room on Friday morning.
“With extraordinary sorrow, we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague Anthony Burden,” the statement said on Friday. – His love for great adventures, new friends, great food and drinks, and wonderful world stories made him a unique storyteller.
