The constitutional court of Russia acknowledged that the agreement on the establishment of the border between Ingushetia and Chechnya to the Constitution.

The judges felt that the constitutional court of Ingushetia, which has opposed the transaction, had no right to give their assessment of this document.
The court considered the request of the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, who asked to check the legality of the agreement. Representatives Yevkurov and the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov told the court that the agreement was constitutional.
The head of the constitutional court of Ingushetia Ayub Gagv refused to participate in the consideration of the request Yevkurov, saying that the approval refers to the competence of the court, not the constitutional court of the Russian Federation.
Agreement on the division of territory between Chechnya and Ingushetia adopted on 26 September and 4 October, it approved musici Parliament. In late October, the constitutional court of Ingushetia has recognized the adopted law is unconstitutional. After that, the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said that the court’s decision will not be grounds for cancellation of the transaction, and promised to appeal to the constitutional court of the Russian Federation.
